Operating Principle

 

 

 

The spaces between the wheels (gear teeth), constitute a fixed volume measurement chamber. Fluid flow causes the wheels (gears) to rotate, thus separating the fluid into discrete volumes. During one complete rotation a precise and specific volume of fluid passes through the meter. By counting rotations of the wheels (gears) the incoming flow is digitized into a series of accurate discrete volumes.
